i am buying new injection pump minmex is the make of it. if i take it off can i bolt the other one back up an not have to time it. an how do u time this motors i no that with the other type pumps u take 3 bolts lose an turn from top dead center either way 10%.but the minmex pump times diffently can anyone help me with this.(the timming might be whats wrong with it an pump might be good).
 
There will be a dowell on the gear. As long as you don't remove the gear from time... you just unbolt the gear from the pump and remove the pump.
IIRC, those gears are slotted to give the final timing adjustment... This is done by looking in the timing window on the front of the flywheel housing under the starter... as well as a timing locating pin on the rear end of the pump cam shaft. You set it so that the pointer on the pump shaft points at a mark on the body while bringing the flywheel around to the specified advance...

BEst advice... get a manual for the tractor and review the procedure yourself and get the correct spec from the manual because I don't remember it with certainty off hand.
