i took pump off today an found a new one for $900
oem but i found out that my old pump didnt have any
oil in it but it was full a few months ago because
we changed it were could that oil out of that pump
went to an does that mean the pump is bad if oil get
s out of it sorry about all these questions i have
been working on this tractor since i bought it
trying to get it right got to figure out timming
should have got a diffent type pump i guess mind is
a minmex

They leak out the drain plug or the shaft seal. The new one could just as easily end up having the same problem.... It doesn't take much to strip the threads out of the pump body if you aren't carefully tightening the drain/level plugs. Depending on how long the pump was run without oil it may not have hurt it much if at all. Addition of oil might make this one work fine.
