I was spreading fertilizer yesterday and the pto light and caution light began flashing along with a bell. I stepped the transmission down a couple of gears and it went away after a minute or so. Anyone know what that combination means?

Tractor has MFWA, about 9000 hours, and I just had the hydraulic pressures checked about six months ago with another service. The pressure checked out normal, although I?m not sure they plugged into ports to check things like hydraulic pressure to the PTO. I change all of the filters every 125 hours and it hasn?t had anything connected to an SCV unit since I just changed them and all it has done is chore. The fluid is clean and in the top half of the operating range. It was running at a PTO speed but it?s not like the fertilizer buggy was taxing that thing in any way. The PTO never stopped spinning during the time of the warning, but I would assume that warning indicates low hydraulic pressure to the lockup. Am I on the right track? And what do I check to verify it?

Most of the time when that happens you just moved in the seat and opened the seat switch so it thanks you got out of the seat with the pto on. And the pto runs off of trans press not hyd.
