8 bolt split rims

Does anybody have a need for 16" 8 bolt split rims for a resto project ? I have three complete rims. Came off of a 1975 International 200 4x4. Will scrap if nobody wants them, I'm in central Illinois. I know they are dangerous to mount tires on just asking. Can post pics if you want them.

i think you answered your own question, with todays standards on mounting them, [saftey etc] very few stores will do it, unless there is a real fanitaic about orginalty, wanting them, after a while , i would throw them in the scrap pile...

post them in the sale adds and see, those old outside ring rims are fine, but require a tire man that realy is one, not the kid who was flipping burgers last week, a rancher i know out here still runs them on his ranch truck the reason is it is possible to fix a flat tire when your 40 miles from a paved road or even put on a new tire if the one is ruined by rock tree pungie ect, there heavy and require a boot tube and labor to work on newer one piece rims dont and thats a lot of the reason split rims fell out of favor, the dangerous rim is the 'r-5' rim which was put on some medium duty trucks from the '40's thru the '60's these rims split in 2 pieces in the middle of the wheel and are easily identified by the raised band around the rim dish , those, you will have a real time finding anybody who will tackle them at all , done wrong they tend to kill folks, and you cant see if the 2 halves are mating correctly, due to the tire being in the way, plus the newest of these is over 50 years old now and getting weak
