800 - Gauge liquid filled lines

All,

I'm beginning work on my gauge cluster for the 801b. While I disassemble the SW cluster and work on refurbishing it, I'm curious what the best resource to acquire, build, re-build the old fluid filled lines such as fuel pressure, COM pressure, oil pressure, etc.

I'm not sure if these types of lines/fittings can be purchased whole, in parts, or need to be rebuilt from scratch.

I added a /stylized/ photo of the narrow front for you enjoyment but any help much appreciated!

I think there are only two types of ferrules there. I like refrigeration grade copper tubing as it has a relatively high burst pressure and is easy to work with. I usually went with the original fitting and ferrule on the gauge end and modified the other end for standard fitting and ferrule as in the pic if it already wasn't standard. It has been years but I bought most of my fittings from McMaster-Carr. They have ferrules for other type metal tubing also.

The COM fitting was the only one that was special and I got it from john at http://external_link.com/

I had to get the fitting for the COM from Saeli

Thanks everyone for the information, that will definitely help me get started. Making these lines doesn't sound like it's too challenging.

I also need to replace the Converter Temperature and Fuel Pressure gauges, but I assume there are plenty of resources on this forum to source new/replacement ones.

I'll look for supplier and keep the forum updated on my (slow) progress!
