801 power steering leak

Have an 801 with power steering which is slowly leaking the fluid It is not leaking around the control valve housing on the steering column, but rather from the sector shaft (both left and right) on the steering housing/box.

Would appreciate any advise as to how to fix this problem. I watch the steering fluid level of the pump carefully for I do not want to ruin the pump.

Thank you in advance for any assistance or advise.

That lower part of the steering box should only have gear oil or NIGL #00 corn head grease in it. If the power steering fluid is leaking out of the sector seals then the lower seal for the contol valve is leaking. Probably need to disassemble the whole steering column to replace that lower seal plus the sector seals, drain the lower part of the box and refill it with gear oil or corn head grease.

Available at CNH and other sites. Probably here.

If you disassemble the box to replace seals and thrust bearings, replace the sector shaft bushings while it's apart.

(quoted from post at 10:02:07 07/02/21) Any idea where to get the seal needed for replacement??

Thanks again.
nd my experience is that steering boxes in general are difficult to stop leaking around the sectors once they start. Even after rebuilds. If rebuilding, I use corn head grease there
