801 Radiator Replacement

I am replacing the radiator on Ford 801 propane tractor. Not sure if it was originally manufactured as propane or if it is an aftermarket install. This part is mounted to the tractor

and is connected to both fuel and coolant.

(coolant line at the radiator going back to unknown part)

I've looked at the Ford 801 users manual and at pictures of 801s online and haven't seen another tractor with this thing on it.
Hope someone here knows what to call this thing and what it's for.

Thanks for responding.
I really wanted to ignore it,lol. As it is the replacement radiator will need to be modified to connect to the evaporator.
Thanks again.

I would replace the lower radiator hose with one that has a port on it for that line to the evaporator rather than potentially damaging a new radiator. Or an in-line adapter with a drain port that you could adapt and 2 shorter hoses.

That is aftermarket LP setup. Yes you will have to find another way than lower neck. The new ones are not cast. The vaporizer will need to be hooked up to run on liquid.

Thank you I would never have thought of essentially putting a T inline. That sounds like a great idea and so much easier than modifying the radiator.
