I realize this is an antique tractor forum but everyone here has great opinions. I"m thinking of updating and wondering what your ideas are about comparing a 7820 power/auto quad vs a 8110 ps. I mostly am interested in ease of operation and dependability. Thank you to all who respond your comments will be very appreciated.

I don't know what an auto power quad is , but iv drove a 7720 with a power quad . It had electronic issues, it would free wheel when idling down to enter a drive way for instance. Just my experience. I really like the full powershift in the 8110.

I use a 8100 as a planting tractor and don't know how you could improve on it. Just my experience. I think you would love the 8110.

8110 any day over 7820 , much better tractor you dont see many 7820 s without transmission trouble at higher hrs.

8110. Any day, you honestly cannot beat the 8000 series. they defiantly revolutionized the tractor industry. We have a 8300, 8130 and a 8330. We had a 8200 before the 8130. Great all around tractor, built tough, with excellent shifting, power-shift, and hydraulics..and resale value! They say the 10 series are by far the best tractor Deere has built, the 30 series are just as good even better.

The 8x10's have proven to be the most reliable of the 8000-series. PQ vs AQ transmissions is really just a matter of preference. Reliability is about the same.
