820 Mannheim-Reconnecting lights

Hello:I have an 820 Mannheim and I would like to reconnect both fender lights. Whomever owned the tractor before me disconnected and hacked the wiring for them. I'm not sure where to start, what type of wire ( 12 V system) to us in this application. Any suggestions/experience would be greatly appreciated.

ANY suggestions? Mine would be on older tractors to run a separate green ground wire, if you don't already have one. Solved lots of problems on my old tractors.

Get a new switch, wires and lights. Ground properly and use heat shrink on the
connections. Protect the wires with a plastic loom and you shall have light! Ben

Good advice. Run a new " ground" chassis return (-) to lights instead of trusting rusty fender to axle connections .
