Hello,
Ive got an 820 here that to me acted like it had blown a tip off an injector. It smokes alot of grey/brown smoke with raw fuel coming out the stack and spotting up the operator and the sheet metal. I pulled the injectors and they looked fine and tested good at 2300 psi. So now i geuss its on to checking valves for misadjustment and then i suppose pull the head? Could it be possible its the pump itself? Id rather not pull it if it could be at all avoided. Does anybody know who works on those pumps? Now that the injectors tested good thats about all i can think that could cause the dead hole, ether bad valves or a worn pump. Any suggestions? Thanks
