821 Power Steering Pump

Rebuilding Eaton roller vane pump on my 821. Has been setting a long time and has some rust inside. Cleaned up most of it and looks good. My question is, were the reservoirs coated inside to protect them, or was it just bare metal ?

Can't say with authority if it had a coating inside but would lay odds it did not.
Have you ever tried Evaporust?
A bit pricey but works good.
