830 case VIN numbers

I just bought me an 830 case that is LP and I'd like to know some information about the serial numbers first three is 841c and the other long serial number is 820-9442 if I could get some information on that that would be great supposedly it's a 1963

The serial number only indicates date manufactured. I told you what thec841c indicates. I should have said that 841 indicates row crop version, as opposed to 842 which would be a western special. I am not sure what else you hope to obtain from the serial number.

At one time, there was a lady, first name Joan, who worked at CaseIH Racine Wi., who, given enough time, would try to locate the build card for a particular tractor. She retired a few years ago. I do not know if anyone has replaced her in providing this service. Perhaps someone else will know and chime in.

It is definitely a 1963 model. If I remember correctly, the "C" in the model number refers to LP fuel.

The C would be for Caseomatic

It's a four-speed with a high and low so it makes it an 8-speed
