830 overhaul

830 2cyl dropped a valve so time to do a major overhaul on it. where is a good place to get the crankshaft bushings and center insert and valves and springs. Priced JD and almost had cardiac arrest. Thanks John cummmins

Manitowac Motor Machine in Wisconsin makes the bearings you need. H&J machine in Carrington ND has the valves & springs, guides ( & seats if you need them)

I agree with manitowac I sent them my old bearings and measurments of the crank they sent them back to me in about a week ready to install. worked good the first time.

I assume u you have to get the bearings honed to the crank like u do on a 720 a lot of places don't know how to do this properly they don't get them squared up so make sure who ever does it understands what ur talking about I told a guy about it he said he knew what I was talking about but when I put the crank in couldn't turn it by hand so took it back to him he wanted to fix the bearings he screwed up n argued with me that it would be all right I bought new bearings n took them to another place cost me$500 extra
