Hi guys, couple questions. I have a 930 comfort king, it's a western special, no 3 point, set back round tube front end. 8 spd trans.

I also have a 1960 830, has the big round fenders, prior to CK tractors. Will the 4cylinder from the 830 bolt up to the 930 transmission? I know I'm going to have to modify sheet metal and steering linkage, but is it possible? Thanks. Bryce.

As long as the 930 is an 8 speed it will bolt in. But the only real difference is the sitting position on those. Not seeing much reason unless the rear-end on the 830 is bad.

Better idea than the 930 engine into the 830. I thought about doing that years ago when I needed a good baler tractor. It would be short and ride rough. The row crop axle would work better. Would run for a week on a tank of fuel. Visibility would be great.

The 930 we assume launched a rod and then say for a long time, motor is locked up. The tractor isn't worth the cost of what it would take me to build a motor.

The 830 is just hammered all around bad. Front end is trashed. But it runs good...

It's better than 2 non usable tractors is about it. The 830 with the donor motor is really rough. Needs a lot of work!

That would be about the only reason. You can just put the front of the 930 on the 830 too. With that set back axle you end to change the steering gear too or it will turn backward. But the parts will bolt in

Okay good to know thank you! That may be the easier route, I'm not sure if it would sit too high or not though. The 830 has 16.9 30 reaea, 930 has 18.4 34.
