I have a late 830 comfort king tractor and was wondering if I could use a oil filter head from a 70 series tractor so I could have a spin on type filter.

You will need to make a spacer to go behind so it misses the steering shaft. You can find one from a late 30 series that uses the same filter and misses the steering shaft.

I have looked in the parts book and cannot find a spin on option for the 30 series at all. Perhaps I am missing something?

Check the book for a late serial number 930 or 1030. You could get the base for the screw on filter. Part number is A65849. If you can't find one locally try Don L, Saeli Imp, or Elmer's Repair.

I own a few 730ck and have never came up with a good spin on adapter.The 1030ck is different in size. Hopefully someone has

If you believe these guys that tell you the 930/1030 spin on filter will fit the 830 you will be very upset when it does not fit! The cartridge filter is 1/3 the price of a spin on anyway.

I have a spin on oil filter on my 730 Case. Local parts man sourced it for me from a wrecker in NY state. So they do exist

I am sorry if I gave bad information. I assumed that the filter for a late 930/1030 would fit the 830. Just so I will know, why does it not fit?
