841 Ford tractor

I am trying to find the serial number so I can rewire my 841 Ford Diesel PowerMaster(c.1958). I looked on the left flywheel housing and right engine block, but it's not stamped there.Is there any place else it could be?

"top of transmission housing at left front corner" if battery acid hasn't eaten it away.

yep.. if there is anything left after the battey acid.. it will be ont he trans bellhousing flat aft of the starter.

In any case.. you don't need thre sn to rewire.. diesel started int he 01 series.. so it's pretty easy to peg what you have / need.

And don't forget- the Diesels were 12V, Negative Ground from the factory.
