841D electrical diagram

I just got a complete Ford service manual for my 841D and figured I would tackle the mess the po made of the electrical system. Unfortunately the only diagram this manual has for the 172D doesn't do a good job of showing the system and doesn't really label most of the parts. I can't figure out what they were trying to do with the manifold heaters. The starter is a mess, it looks like the original start button died so they put in a small push button connected to a starter solenoid that doesn't work anymore, and then the put in another starter solenoid with a push button on the bottom of it. If no one has a good diagram, maybe someone has some good pictures of a 172D properly wired up?
Thanks
Steven

Did you get this manual? It has wiring diagrams for 6 and 12 volts. It covers the 600, 700, 800, 601, 701, 801, 901, and 1801 series tractors.

From your comment about two buttons and two solenoids it appears that you are not awaret aht iit had two push buttons and two solenoids when new. Maybe the wiring is perfect as it is.

Push button on top of dash energizes the solenoid right under the sheet metal there. It then passes power to the manifold heaters. Push button above the key activates the solenoid below it which powers the starter when the neutral safety switch is pushed down also. This assumes the solenoid wasn't replaced with one from an automobile.

This is how my 851 is.

I don't know what manual you're using but mine has the diagram and additional page on manifold heaters.

So it appears I missed the insert for the manifold heaters. Is the manifold heaters switch a push button? When I push the button on the dash the starter solenoid that is wired to it makes a hard click like you get when you turn an ignition key on a vehicle with a bad starter solenoid. The key doesn't do anything, it doesn't matter if I place the key in the vertical or horizontal position I can start the tractor and the small push button still makes the second starter solenoid click. I'm including a video of how to start the tractor.

I can see why he might be confused. The upper diagram shows 5 connections to starting relay/solenoid , but the lower diagram shows only 2. ?????????????
