I've heard that when your chain stretches and is starting to jump off the main drive cog you can remove one ladder bar worth of chain and thus tighten things back up. wondering if anyone has done this and if so how hard is it. I've seen pictures in the factory manual of chain replacement. Looks like they use two come-alongs and slowly release tension. then remove the link and tighten back up using the come-alongs. if anyone has done this please reply. need to get the baler ready for hay season. have 65 acres of Sorghum Sudan grass, 50 acres of pasture and with us finally getting rain in North Dakota I'm going to need something that can make a bale or two.
