860 alternator question

As I was using my tractor the other day, I found that this bolt had fallen out of the alternator itself. It is the point where the leads connect into the alternator. has anyone else ever expirienced this and if so what is the proper fix, meaning how to reattach properly. Thanks in advance for any help.

Unhook wires from bolt, unhook 2 spade plugs from terminals #1 & #2, take bolt off of adjuster, take bolt out of pivot, belt off pulley.
Take that sucker to an advanced auto parts, NAPA, auto zone, your choice. Around 30 + dollars should get you a rebuilt one.
Reverse instructions.

Why? Running without the wires hooked to that bolt / the bolt hooked to the diode trio, more than likely fried the diodes. Plus you have a nut that was hooked to that bolt floating around inside that alternator.
My 2 cent.
