861 Diesel fuel filter

Hi all,
Looking for a diesel fuel filter for my 58 Ford 861D. I ordered one online but I got a new holland 86546599. This new one has holes out the top (& bottom)and two larger orings. Looks like the OD is the same, but the ID of the bottom doesn t sit right on the base. My old filter is sealed on the top and the fuel goes out a center tube after having passed thru the media and it s got two wide flat seals. Anyone know where I can get a replacement filter and maybe what the right part number is?

Does the old filter have any numbers on it? Is it possible that the original filter assembly was replaced by an after market assembly at some point in the past?

Try this site 159728 filter. Old Ford number 309991, new number 84566261.

Thanks guys. I found one at NAPA. It was a a 3165 Gold. Looks like it fits perfectly. Thanks for getting going in the right direction.

Has anyone figured out the right replacement for the filter, I have been looking for years and no luck yet, I will try Buddy K's numbers
