861 power steering

Could I find power steering components to put on one that doesn't have it?
Not complicated just wondering if a salvage yard would have one.

You are probably better off buying a tractor, swapping the steering parts then reselling the tractor.
Buying everything piecemeal would be costly.
Complete steering box, tye rods, cylinders, radius rods, 6 hyd lines, pump, pully, waterneck and maybe a couple of other items l forgot.
That's what I did.
I stole the better tires too.
After all was said and done it cost me very little.
I would cry if I had to go back to manual steering.

From my experience, you will not find a setup in a salvage yard unless you are standing there when they bring it in. You and 1000 other people are looking for the same thing. IMO, you will be better off (and less expensive) to buy a new complete kit and install it.

I installed electric power steering on my 860. I had to make a couple adapter sleeves on the lathe. I fabricated some brackets to hold the electric steering unit (out of a Saturn Vue). There is a guy on ebay that sells control boxes on ebay for these. I think it was about $80.

Anyway, if you have a good manual box and are willing to do some fabricating and machining, this would be an option worth considering.

I've had my 860 on EPS for several years. It is so nice, I'd like to switch my 841 with factory power steering to electric like the 860.
