I will start asking all my questions in this thread to try and get my old tractor running. My wife wants me to give up on it but I want to get it all lined out. So my question this time is how do I check yo see if my tractor is in time? I have ordered a manual but thanks to the post office it is stuck in Chicago for going on 3 weeks now. Hopefully I can get the tractor figured out in time to still get a food plot put in this fall

Short answer: Bring #1 cylinder up on compression stroke then fine tune to 4 deg before top dead center. Distributor rotor should point to #1 spark plug wire and points should just begin to open. Adjust as needed. Manual pages below.
