8700 brake fluid

Any tips for what to use for our ford 8700 brake fluid? I don’t think the oil listed in my owners manual is available anymore, internet says a mineral oil based brake fluid?

Why would it have not been designed to use the transmission oil like most of the rest of the modern world did on tractors clear back to the 60's

Be SURE to get the correct fluid, as common automotive brake fluid will destroy the rubber seals in the master and slave cylinders.

They used that fluid because if the slave cylinders leak they are internal and the leaked fluid mixes with the transmission and hydraulic fluid.

Who have you tried so far? Part number was 73340450 last time I bought some.

All else fails, mineral oil is as close as your nearest pharmacy or walmart...
