Hydraulic lift sump cover is leaking. Gasket item 14 and o ring item 11 per new holland parts list. Anything to watch out for when removing cover
beside draining the oil,

YouTube is your friend. Not necessary to drain oil. Engine hoist is handy, arm full if you muscle it out. Buy the kit and replace all the o rings.

Is it leaking around the main top cover gasket? If so, how badly is it leaking? If it is leaking a lot, it could just be over full. It wasn't designed to be filled to the top.

This cover is on bottom of case

The plate on the bottom is not really a cover, although they call it that in the parts diagram. It has the pressure relief valve on the top of it. It's an access plate for accessing that valve. The o-ring is for the valve itself. If it's leaking around that plate. then it should just need a gasket, or possibly just tightening of the bolts. If you are removing it, I would replace the o-ring as well, just so you know it's new, but the o-ring shouldn't have anything to do with it leaking around the plate.

Agree with Sean, below.

You have already done yourself a big favor by buying the proper (expensive) cover gasket from CNH. DO NOT use silicon or other gasket goop here.

Cover will likely be well stuck to transmission case and may require persuasion to remove once the bolts are removed. A dowel pin aligns it with the case. DO NOT pry. Rather, use a small hammer and punch to tap it on the edge(s) causing it to rotate.

You will have the opportunity to flush some (not all) of the sediment from the case while the cover is removed.

Unless you have relief valve issues, do not replace it. Aftermarket valves are of dismal quality and sometimes (oftentimes?) will not open as required to prevent system damage.
