880 Hydraulic pump rebuild question

Rebuilt my 880 Hyd pump. question that I have is when I put the bearing into one of the internal blind holes, the bearing pushed halfway in by hand and then finished tapping it in with light hammer and brass rod with some mild resistance. The hole was messed up from the old bearing removal due to my mistake.I cleaned up the hole with mild abrasive and file. Im concerned if I messed up the hole, made it to loose, or if it should be ok?

I have rebuilt many pumps and never had a bearing go in the bore with hand pressure. First, are you using the GB 1616 bearing? You could possibly have taken out to much material by trying to clean up the bore. Did you use power equipment? It would be easy to remove too much as the end plates are cast iron. Call me.
