Hooray! Got the tranny back together today. C3 works when I put air to it so hopefully I'll have 1, 3, 5, and 7th now.

Got lucky with changing the C2-C3 clutch drum as it brought the endplay on the output shaft back to specs.

Tomorrow I hope to get the finishing touches on mounting an external filter for the tranny and see if things work correctly.

One of my long term projects is to route the oil discharge line to the outside, through an external filter and an oil cooler before back into the sump.

I'm not going to put an oil cooler on as this one doesn't work that hard anymore.

I put a bulkhead connector on the right side about where the internal filter would be and then using a short (about 1 inch long piece of copper tube) and some hose curved up to connect to the original line for the filter to bring it to the outside. I am mounting my filter on the left side front two bolts for the lift cover.

I put another bulkhead connector on the left side just ahead of the pivot shaft for the clutch/pto spool valves for the return line.

Things are tight in the tranny but it should work. (Keep my fingers crossed). lol

Mounted the filter base today and got the control valve back in and made sure the pto and inching pedal actuators are centered on spool valves. I am also putting a sight glass on the right access plate of the tranny so it is easier to check tranny level. Got a sight glass from our Ford, and whatever else they handle dealer. :D

Don't know what model but the glass is for an AC. :o  Only $11.
