Im looking to buy a tractor, found a 78 886 for $8,000, which looks good, but he says the TA slips on the low side, I assume he means when you pull it back to go slower.
Question: Could a person keep driving it in high (Direct, I assume) and NOT fix it? He says hes driven it like that since last summer, has done some rakeing and feeding cows this winter.
I know you could choose to not fix older Internationals, I think I read that the 86 series is different, that if the TA is going out in low, the high will soon follow.
Is that correct or can you just keep driving it?
Thank you!
