8N 12 volt battery

The battery that came with the old girl is dead. Any suggestions on what to replace it with? (Size, CCA, ect)

Is the only way to get it out to turn it on its end or take off the hood?

battery hold down. I want to see a picture of a
battery that requires hood removal to replace the
battery!

On mine you just have to give it a little tilt to get the battery terminals past the hood

Just make sure when you remove the battery you do not touch both + and - battery posts on the sheet metal at the same time.

Earl.......use a size 22 or 35 12-volt battery. Don't worry about CCA or enny of them things. Just remember that yer 12V alternator demands NEGATIVE ground or you will let the smoke outta the alternator.

You do know electrical stuff runs on smoke, don't you? You doubt? Think about it. Everytime you let the smoke out, it quits working. .......smokey Dell
