8n backfiring

hey thanks for the tips on checking spark i just played with it some mor and its shotin gray smoke out intake side of carb does that mean its tryin to go my 6volt battery is getting week should i just go 12 and that sure seams like my others have started much faster with 12 volts or should i stay original i hate to buy a 6volt battery and wish i went 12 thanx

If its back firing out the carb you may have the firing order wrong and or have intake values stuck open

When your 12v battery gets weak, are you going to convert it to 24 volts?! There are a couple of good reasons to convert it to 12v & a lot of excuses. Click at the link below for more info:

Stay original. Fix the problem. Don't try to spin it faster to overcome the cranking problem. Something is wrong but it just needs fixed. Mine is 12 volts only because it had nothing when I bought it. Guy I bought it from just started out the day with a good hot 12V battery and had a 12 to 6 Volt dropping resistor on it..Could run all day with no charging.
My Dad's 2N has the original 6 Volt system and cranks before it spins a complete revolution no matter how cold it is...
