8n drawbar

I'm looking into getting a drawbar for my 8n, some say "if pumpkin has been tapped" can anyone explain what that means?

An 8N should have the bolt holes tapped in under neath the rear end to attach the drawbar to.
So you can buy the kit from here to install it.
Measure your bolt lengths ACCURATELY so you don't get them too long and they punch their way into the oil inside. Maybe someone here has that measurement for you.
A real drawbar was one of the bigger upgrades the 8Ns had over the 9/2Ns.

There are 2 types of swinging drawbars that can be mounted to the underside of the 8N rear end. The original drawbar bracket requires a stud that measures 5/8"-11&5/8"-18 X 2.46". These studs will be too long for the after market drawbar bracket and would need to be beefed up with washers or replaced with 1 1/2" X 5/8" bolts. Both the studs and the bolts require a lock washer. It appears the 5/8" 11 threads go into the housing 3/4". Here is a picture of the brackets, the after-market one on the right and the original on the left.
