8n gasket set

Opened up my gasket set for my 8n engine rebuild and it only contained 4 valve seals?! Shouldn't there be 8? Probably got ripped didn't I?

Pretty sure you only need them on the intake valves.

Hmmm... Now thats interesting! The previous 2 sets I used, had 8 seals in each and I put them on all of the guides. So from what your saying is I must have gotten a bargain on the last 2 sets.

Like the others tol' ya,....ya only need to put them on the Intake valves.
AND, YES the Kits sell with 8 of them in the sack....normally. At least the last one (kit) I bought, had 8. But a couple of guys have emailed me to ask why they only got 4.
DUNNO?????, but so long as ya don't get cheated on the 4 intake seals.....ya don't need the other four. :lol: Just save them for the next time around!!! 8)
BTW:.....Just make sure the valve bores are clean, when putting the valve stems in with the seals, and use engine slick-um on the seals, they will slide right into the bores.....slight twist of yer wrist, (turn-em) as they are going in,......Ya should not have any problem!!!! I didn't with my New valves!!! YMMV :lol:

I only get the felpro sets from O'Reilly's and they never have had more then the 4 intake seals so yep you must be getting so sets from the land of almost never right

Most on the forum say only on the intake valves. However, Gaspump says to put them on the exhaust valves as well! I put them on all 8 valves when I rebuilt the engine on my latest 9N project.
