8N governor parts

Is there a source to buy small individual parts? I think it is the gear missing that engages the cable to the tach. The tach works off a drill attached to the cable but not the governor. I can something turning in the port. Thank you.

this site has what you think you need, look for governor shaft in 8n parts. I would make sure the flex shaft does not have a damaged end before buying parts.

I answered your previous post telling you what is wrong, and that there is no "gear" involved.

My 8N tach was missing the little dodad that slips into the back of the governor that will then catch the spaded part of the cable. Is that what he needs..maybe? Someone on here told me that I had to disassemble the governor to slip that piece in and then someone was kind enough to tell me to gentle just tap it in without any disassembly. That worked great! Just wondering.

If you work at it you can make a roll pin work. The original pin looks like a roll pin.
