8N hoses collapsed

Engine died while brush hogging. Been running perfect ever since a redo during winter. Replaced everything and even added a temp guage. Wasnt hot, got gas, got spark, but did notice that both rad hoses were flat like from suction. It was gettin dark and was too hot to open the cap, so I will do that next day when cool. Anyone ever seen collapsed hoses? Its not locked up, it turns over fine, but wont start. Cooling system vapor lock? Thanks for any ideas.

Lower hoses are normally under a vacuum and usually have a spring coiled up inside to hold the hose open. In the case of an upper hose collapsed I would suspect running low on coolant.

Yea, hoses collapse sometimes when it overheats.

If it did so after it cooled it's the radiator cap vacuum valve stuck. I would replace the cap.
