8n hydraulic pump removal ?

I have removed the top control cover-I have drained the hyd fluid. I removed the pto shaft. I removed the bolts on the hydraulic pump and instead of dropping down it only comes down about an 1 1/2". I can move it around but still the same. All the videos I have watched shows the pump just dropping out. So any ideas?

Rear down a bit & slide it back toward the rear, as the front of pump & PTO unit telescope an inch or so.
