(quoted from post at 19:54:55 09/26/09) I am wondering if on the 8n there is an extra port off the pto hydrolic pump that can be used for a wood spliter that mounts on the 3 point hitch. any thoughts

(quoted from post at 21:18:10 09/26/09) pressure and volume of the internal pump are both way too low for a wood splitter.
Like Dunk says either a pto or stinger pump will work fine.
We use the 11 gpm pto pump from Northern Tool, it works great, will split most anything.

Wouldn't Zane's "live hydraulics" pump also do the job?

(quoted from post at 14:50:42 09/27/09) The reason that I wanted not to post picture os my Zane Thang position control device was to try and prevent knockoffs and copycats. The guy you mentioned that is making one first bought one of mine and then tried to do the same thing from a differnet direction. I'm sure his will work after a fashion. In fact I have drawings from back them when I was trying to come up with an affordable working model that would be easy enough to make and easy to install that is almost exactly like the other ones you mentioned. I didnt' like that design then amd I still don't. I have other designs of the position control too but none seemed to me to be practicle at the time or easy to install or work as good.
I appreciated the Members of the forum honoring my request that the pictures not be published. I'm sure it has helped me sell a few and I'm sure it has kept many from being copied by others. After all, it was my idea. Isn't there something in this country that honors and protects a persons inteletual property???
There are several other of my ideas that have been copied too you know! That's the american way I guess but lets give credit where credit is due.

All that anyone, that wants to see it, has to do, is go to Google images, and type in Zane Thang.
There are even installation pics.
Myself, I would never buy a "pig in a poke" out of pure principal.
(I have no use for one, I have an 8N)
If I wanted to copy it, for resell, I would gladly buy the prototype.
I guess our thinking is just different, no problem on that.
