The rescued from the scrap heap 8N has new life!
Ordered and installed a 12V alternater kit, key switch, installed new points, condensor, rotor, distributor cap and gaskets.
Changed the engine oil and filter as well.
Process wasn't without head scratching wonderment, but in the end with help from this forum the 8N fired up. Thanks to all the helpful folks who post solutions to our 8N problems.
This one runs beautifully. No smoke from the engine. Now onto repairing the steering gear.
