Help,,I haven't been on here for awhile and now i need Help..Would anyone happen to have some photos of a Deerborn loader installed on a 8n tractor? I think i have an idea on installing it.But just not sure about it,,Any help would be appreciated,, I know this came off of a 8n and i wonder if i'm missing a bracket or something else. Thanks,,

(quoted from post at 22:47:14 12/21/19) The only bracket on a "jungle jim" loader is one that replaces the front axle pivot pin.

Careful. There were a few models like the 11-22 that required rear axle brackets. Installation and parts manuals for most Dearborn models can be found on the N tractor club website.

This site and the N club dont play well together and I cannot post a direct link. Just do a Google search for "n tractor club" and follow the link they give you.

The club site has a navigation bar at the top of the page. Use the "Manuals" button to get to the index. Scroll down to the loaders section of the index and you will find links to most of the Dearborn models. You will have to download/open the individual manuals to get puctures.

A while back I put a loader on my 8n, but it has since been removed. I had to make this one front bracket mount. Note the washer spacers behind the plate. Poor picture, but hope this may help.

Here is an alternative mounting system - the Dearborn front hanger used on the 9N/2N/8N. The 8N flat plate idea came from Wagner as a replacement for the Dearborn hanger. It bolted to the radiator support and had the unforeseen consequence of stressing the spot welds in the 8N axle support assembly with resulting failures which pulled the radiator support loose from the center section of the axle support. The Dearborn style weldment with integral axle pivot pin puts those stresses on the center of the axle support which is securely bolted to the oil pan and block eliminating the spot weld failures. In case you are wondering I have sold (literally) a couple hundred of them and never had a report of a failure.

[u:53f834b6ed]Most[/u:53f834b6ed] of the Dearborn loaders simply bolted to the rear axle using the bolts that hold the fenders in place. Remove the nuts, line the flanges on the loader frame up with the bolts, and put the nuts back on.

There where a couple models (11-22,11-23,???) that used brackets attached to the axle as above and the rear of the loader frame was pinned to the brackets. The fenders were relocated up and to the outside using additional bolts and the flange on the brackets. This added fender clearance and made removal a bit easier. Those rear brackets are hard to come by but shop made replacements are not too hard to fabricate.

There are two different Deerborn loaders (by size). I don't know if they use the same frame and attachment.

TOH, Found this old post today; I just picked up a 19-22, and it's missing this bracket. Do you still make/sell these?

I'm (still) a little confused. My Loader parts list shows a drive shaft, hub and pulley, but my 8N parts list shows there's already a pulley on there. Do I have to replace the stock pulley? And I'm assuming the pulley replaces 6312, and the drive shaft goes into 6319 in the attached pic.

Zat sound right?

Yes. You need replacement pulley 192160, splined hub 192161, and drive shaft 194354. The shaft goes into the hub and is connected to the pump with a flexible shaft coupler.

Great. I was thrown by the shaft part number - it's different in the Dearborn parts list - 192-something - and I couldn't find a direct x-reference to 194354 anywhere. Thanks again.
