8n Marvel carb.

I have a '51 8n with original Marvel tsx carb, I need the 4 screws that hold both halves together, and the brass plug for the bottom of the bowl. Is this something I can pick up at the hardware store? If so what size do I need? Thanks.

The 4 screws are #12-24 X 3/4.

The bowl drain plug is a common 1/8 pipe thread plug (or us a brass petcock with the same thread).

There is also a small brass screw ahead of the 1/8 pipe thread drain plug that plugs a port used for drilling a passage during manufacture. The original screw was special, (Part #357378S), a common brass screw, #8-32 trimmed to 15/64 in length with a tiny drop of Loctite will serve as a replacement.

The 4 screws that secure the top of the TSX carb together with teh bottom are 12-24 x .812 Fillister Heads, FORD p/n 355245-S7. You won't find them at any local hardware
store. The drain plug is p/n 358043 and is a 1/8 NPT (National Pipe Plug Thread) and may have them in stock but probably priced at $5 per. I rebuild TSX carbs in my
sleep and buy new hardware in bulk at McMaster-Carr. I have boxes of new spare parts so if you want to email me and give me your address I will send you a half dozen
fillister screws and a few drain plugs.
