8n rear rims

i recently bought a '48 8n and it has the hat style back wheels. my centers are good but the outers are shot. my question is, will my centers mount to hoop style outers. Im new to this so thanks in advance for any info.

Yes your centers will mount right up to the loop style rims.

Loop rim uses a longer bolt #370938S36 2 3/4" long
Hat uses a shorter bolt #350719SB 2.282 long


You can use the shorter bolt but will only engage haft of the threads.. Chances are you will need new hardware anyways...

Washers # 351505K16
Nuts and washers are the same for both wheel bolts... Shop around the hardware is not that expensive and nice to have on hand when you are ready to mount the rims to the centers..

I just used 5/8-11 NC Carr4iage Bolts on my 6-loop 'work' rims. I have 3 sets of hat rims -one is for sale all restored...email is open..
