UPDATE - I neglected to check in on this post, so making up for lost time.
I said before I planned to build the NIOSH CROPS for the 8N. However, steel can get pricey and the dimensions specified can be hard to
obtain depending on your location. When I wrote the first post I lived in Southern California and had access to some great steel
suppliers. I now live in Washington state and things are not as easy.
I decided to go with the Hercules ROPS. I wish I had decided this when I lived in California because Apple Valley was not far away.
They truck shipped it for a pretty good price, though I can't recall the amount. Installation was a snap, they included long bolts to
replace the stock 8N fender bolts. It was so easy I didn't even need help putting it in place.
That was in mid-2017, and today I'm having trouble finding the Apple Valley dealer online, but the Yesterday's Tractors link is still
good.
