8n Serial # question

Picked up an 8N w/12v conversion, and front dist. I can only make out a couple #'s of the S/N on the block (right of oil filter). I know these are hand stamped, any tips on how to clean and bring out the remaining #'s (sandbalst?). Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

yours will be 48,49 or 50 8n

I had same issue. I used paint remover and a tooth brush to clean the area up. also a light head above or below marking help give definition to numbers

I uncovered my#s with paint stripper[small amount],rubbing,then getting a piece of paper and a pencil and rubbing the pencil over the number.This brings the number out.---lha
