8n Steering box

I've got a 48' 8n with steering box issues. I've already tried the rebuild/repair route but something in the steering box gave way the other day so I'm back to square one. Replacement ones from this website are around $800 which is more than the tractor is worth.
I've found a parts tractor for sale that is a 51' and I'm wondering if the steering boxes are compatible.
Any help determining this would be appreciated.

Yes the later box works and is better! Get dash panel and steering links if available. Your dash will work but have to notch lower left corner.
