8n stuck oil drain plug

There is a square nut oil drain plug on the 8n. I put a 1-1/16 inch combination wrench on it and can't get it to budge. Has anyone ever had this problem? Can anyone offer any suggestions? The next thing I am thinking about trying is a 1-3/16 12 point socket and hammering it off with an electric impact?

Repeatedly TAP on the periphery of the plug with a brass hammer to loosen it up.

Don't overdo it and break the plug or the casting!

Thank you very much sir. The brass mallet did the trick. I tapped on the plug for a pretty good while and then put the wrench back on it and it came loose. Thanks again.
