I have just aquired a narrow 8N vineyard. 1949 model Ser no *8N232042*.
Never seen one before, probably the only one in Scotland and UK, (not too many vineyards here)
Any info on the model appreciated, production dates, numbers, fellow owners ect.
It has a Solex carb which looks as if it belongs to the tractor, spent it's working life in France.
8N's were never imported to the UK, only Ireland, so info here is scarce.
The tractor has not run for many years and will be restored.

I believe there was a company in California that sold the kit and put them together. I don't believe they came from Ford like that. Most were used in California. I have heard of a few in the finger lakes region in NY but haven't found one up there yet.

Couple of photos. The tractor is not out of France yet, so I don't have more details for a week or two, till I get it home.
The special Vineyard components appear as if they could have been made by Ford, If they have been made by a conversion company, they are very good forgings and castings. I did not look for "Ford" markings on the axle housings ect.
Aparently very rare in France
