8N WIRING HARNESS

where is the wiring harness on a 52 8n supposed to be routed,along the top of the engine or along the inside of the hood?

My '50 was/is routed just above the left edge (viewed from the seat) of the hood. My new harness came with the clips to fasten it to the hood edge.

I personally route the wiring on top of the engine if it is a 2 or 9N inside the spark plug wire tube. On 8N's I run along the left side of the engine, & under the battery box. I use a red wire loom so all of the wires are concealed, looks great!!!

My 50 was routed along the left side hood. It has three clips to hold it in place.

Fran.......surprizingly enuff, the N-Parts MPC show the wiring harness for side-mount 8N's are clipped to the leftside hood with clippies. pg-160. Isn't that amazing??? .......respectfully, Dell
