Saw this link on craigslist, hadn't seen anything like it before. High price for me, but a collector might like it.

Enjoy

Before this winter I passed up on a set of those tracks that were about a 1/10th of that asking price.

Priced way to high even with the tractor attached.

Forum,
Paid $550.00 for a set of half tracks about 2 years ago. Passed on the idlers because I simply wrap the half tracks around the rear tire. Quite effective. WOP-Way over priced!!!

Very curious. In what manner do you use your tractor with those tracks on?
I was always fascinated with getting a set but after finding them I asked myself what am I really going to use them for other than adding them to my collection of all the junk that I never use.

I'm almost certain that I saw that very tractor about a year ago, at the shop were the restoration and track installation were being done. (I don't think there are very many 8Ns with tracks in the Kansas City area! )

There were photos of one here a few years ago that had a V8, tracks, modern snow plow and LOTS of chrome but I can't find it now.
Here's one that's been posted before that I like also.

(quoted from post at 18:52:12 01/14/15) I used mine for snow removal but they are good in
the mud.

Figures that you would have a set.

Would like to get a set but can't justify them with having only one 8N. Already a PITA mounting and unmounting a front loader and rear Sherman backhoe.

For the snow I have 2 walk behind gravelly tractors with 36" snow blowers that Dad bought back in the late 60's

When i was in high school i worked for a holly farmer . He
had a ford 3000 with tracks worked grat in that nasty
swamp . We would carry wood pallets filled with holly
branches down the rows and load on hay wagon . Iam sure
they would work in muck fields to celery etc

I'd much rather have the cab ;-)

That is not to far from me, but not for that money. Although I would like to have a set of tracks. Anyone have a complete setup for sale?

G,
Depends on where you live. Being in central Minnesota snow is always a project. I maintain my driveway and several other driveways and a gravel avenue. I also move firewood in snowy conditions. Have used chains and they do not come close to what half tracks will do. There is minimal slippage compared to chains, especially on icy driveways. Half tracks do not get lost between tire lugs. An added benefit is they are heavy enough for extra traction, probably 100 pounds per track. Have used half tracks when ever possible- 50 plus years.
