8N won’t fire

Just got a 1950 Ford 8N supposed to be rebuilt engine but won’t fire turns over and seems like it just flooding
Any ideas?

sounds like you're over-choking it. use less choke. turn the engine over and then pull the choke out for a second or two and then let it go. see what happens.

it took me a couple of years to become proficient with my N's choke. the temptation is to use it too much.

Pull the plugs out and see if they are wet. If they are clean them and reinstall them. Then try to start it but with out choking it

Is it flooding or is it not getting any gas? The top of the sediment bowl going into the bottom of the tank has a fairly long intake. If you have much less than a quarter tank of gas, it may not be getting any gas through the sediment bowl intake.
