8N Won't Start

Unless you have lifted the dist out of the engine, my thought would be to focus on the points rubbing block, and bump the starter till its near the end of the cam's flat part, and about to be pushed by the lobe.( like in the pic)
Hook up your meter probes one to ground, and the other to the primary terminal. Continuity should disapear as the flywheel is pried UP, at the 4°mark, and meter should read infinite. If it doesnt, turn the distributor so it does.
Points look closed in person, but have sepatated electrically.
