I'm posting because I don't have access to my manuals and my 8N won't start. I bought her about 3 years ago, cleaned her up, replaced the pump cylinder and she's been a reliable champ ever since. I last used her about 3 months ago to mow around my mother's place and had no problem with her starting. I trailered her over to my place after that. Normally I would keep her under cover in the carport but because of some renovations she had to sit outside in an occasional downpour. Now she won't start.
I noticed rust particles in the glass bowl so decided to go ahead and drain the tank to put fresh gas in. Not sure it needed fresh gas because it didn't smell like it was going bad and I haven't seen water at all. I tried to remove the glass bowl but it's tight up there and I can't remember if it screws in and held by the arm and holder underneath or if the holder is the only thing holding it up there. Can someone advise?
I pulled the distributor cap and coil and all looks to be dry and clean. The battery is good though I occasionally have to jump it between long periods of none use.
Like I said, I don't have access to my manuals so I thought I would throw this out there. Off the cuff, is there anything else I should be checking?
