9-N front tires

4-t-niner

I am wondering if anyone can help me determine the correct front tire size for my tractor. I want to put on some tri-rib tires. I currently have car/trailer tires on the front (they came with the tractor). The size on the tire is JR70-15. The rim measures 16". I am not sure the width of the rim. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

If you have 8n 16 inch wheels, the tire size is 5.5 x 16. I'm confused though as to how you have a 15 inch tire on a 16 inch wheel. Are you sure the wheel is not 15"? I'm actually wanting to shift to a car tire on the front for mowing.

correct? 4x19 probably as it left the factory.. though i have seen 15" and 16" rims for those wide hubs.

if you truly have a 16" rim.. then 5.5-16 or 6-16 will make for some nice tri-ribs... 5.5's be easier probably.

safetyfast, I was curious about the same thing. I am not sure, but I measured the rims and they are 16". The tires that are on there are old, and I mean OLD. They are separating all over the place and have no traction at all. I do more plowing, bush hogging and snowplowing, so I need more grip up front - plus, as I mentioned, these tires are on their last leg.

safetyfast, I guess I am dumb sometimes - I just realized I measured the outer diameter of the rim instead of the diameter where the bead sits - That should take about an inch off, so I guess it is probably a 15" rim - I need a nap.
